EMERGENCIES OUTSIDE NORMAL HOURS

If you need help or advice regarding your health and the situation cannot reasonably wait until the surgery opens, please contact the practice on Derby 0844 815 1056 (minicom users as well) and your call will be automatically answered by Derbyshire Health United (DHU) which is a co-operative of qualified GPs all from the Derby area, based within the out-of-hours centre on Duffield Road, Derby. A health care professional will answer your call and ask you for details of your problem. You may be offered telephone advice or asked to attend the out-of-hours centre to see one of the emergency care practitioners or a doctor/nurse. If patients are not well enough to travel and a home visit is deemed necessary, this can still be offered. Patients should NOT arrive at the DHU centre without first telephoning for advice.

Please note: DHU record all telephone conversations. This is a legal requirement.

PLEASE REMEMBER: IN A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY YOU SHOULD STILL DIAL 999 AND ASK FOR AN AMBULANCE.
